Pilot version, 27 October 2026.
Terms of use
1. Who these terms are for
desyr is a work suite for companies: chat, mail, calendar, contacts, files and calls in one app. It is offered by desyr (in formation) ("desyr", "we", "us"), reachable at hello@desyr.chat.
These terms apply between us and the company that uses desyr (the "customer"), and to every person the customer gives an account (the "users"). desyr is offered to companies and organisations only, not to consumers.
Together with these terms, the customer and desyr conclude a data processing agreement. It explains how we process personal data on the customer's behalf. Our privacy policy explains the rest.
2. The pilot
- During the pilot, desyr is free of charge.
- The pilot runs until we announce its end, at least 30 days in advance, by email to the customer's administrators.
- desyr is still being built. We do our best to keep it running and safe, but during the pilot we promise no particular availability, features or response times. Features can change or be removed.
- We may ask for feedback. Giving it is voluntary. We may use feedback to improve desyr without owing anything for it.
- Before the pilot ends, we tell the customer the price and conditions of the paid service. Nothing becomes paid without the customer's explicit agreement.
3. The customer's space and accounts
- Each customer gets its own space, with its own people and settings. Other customers cannot see into it. Everyone signs in at app.desyr.chat.
- The customer names at least one administrator. Administrators create, block and delete their people's accounts and decide who gets one. The customer is responsible for what its administrators and users do in desyr.
- An account is for one person. Users keep their sign-in details secret, use the extra sign-in step where it is switched on, and tell their administrator at once if they think someone else has used their account.
4. Fair use
The customer and its users must not use desyr to:
- break the law, including data protection, copyright and criminal law;
- send spam, phishing or malware, or mass mail to people who did not ask for it;
- store or share content that is illegal, in particular content depicting the sexual abuse of children or inciting violence or hatred;
- attack, probe or overload desyr or anyone else, or test desyr's security without our written permission;
- resell desyr or give access to people outside the customer's organisation, except where desyr offers this as a feature.
If there is a serious breach of these rules, or a threat to desyr's security or to other customers, we may block affected accounts or the space for as long as necessary. We tell the customer without delay and, where possible, beforehand.
5. The customer's data
- The customer's content (messages, mails, calendars, contacts and files) belongs to the customer. We use it only to provide desyr, as set out in the data processing agreement.
- The customer is responsible for its content and for being allowed to process its users' and contacts' personal data in desyr.
- We never sell the customer's data, never use it for advertising and never analyse it for other purposes.
6. Ending, export and deletion
- The customer can end its use of desyr at any time by writing to hello@desyr.chat.
- We can end the pilot for a customer with 30 days' notice, or at once for an important reason, such as a serious breach of section 4.
- After the end, the customer has 30 days to export its data. We help with this: mail as EML files, calendars as ICS, contacts as vCard, files as they are, and on request the history of channels that are not end-to-end encrypted.
- Then we delete the space and all its data. Copies in backups are deleted when the backups expire, at the latest after about seven months.
7. Liability
- During the free pilot, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, in particular for injury to life, body or health.
- We back up the data, but during the pilot the customer should keep its own copies of data that it cannot do without.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost profit or lost data that the customer could have avoided by keeping its own copies.
8. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We tell the customer's administrators by email at least 30 days before a change takes effect. If the customer does not agree, it can end its use of desyr before then.
9. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, without the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is the seat of desyr.
